This is a really well crafted story。 The characters were well rounded and likable。 This story is good enough that I was surprised to discover that it is a young adult book。 I found myself asking interesting questions as I read it- it made me think。 Beautiful world building， action and adventure， a good clean fantasy read。 I would definitely recommend this to a young adult。。。 or an old one for that matter。I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。

It's impossible not to enjoy a Theophilus Monroe book！ His tongue in cheek humour is scattered throughout， his characters are such fun， yet at the same time profoundly real， even though they are Vampires， shifters， witches and the like！ I adore how he takes the characters， moulds them and spits out someone you can't help rooting for！ Hailey is one such character， as is Mercy， as is Annabelle， as is。。。I could go on and on！ This is the second book dedicated to Hailey， a fiercely independent young It's impossible not to enjoy a Theophilus Monroe book！ His tongue in cheek humour is scattered throughout， his characters are such fun， yet at the same time profoundly real， even though they are Vampires， shifters， witches and the like！ I adore how he takes the characters， moulds them and spits out someone you can't help rooting for！ Hailey is one such character， as is Mercy， as is Annabelle， as is。。。I could go on and on！ This is the second book dedicated to Hailey， a fiercely independent young witch/vampire， who now has a 700 year old Vampire King stalking her， claiming to love her！ Never a dull moment when one reads a Theophilus Monroe book。 As Corbin tries to take over the world， yes， he thinks vampires should be the dominant species， and even worse， he wants to create a super witch/Vampire！ Hailey and friends and some not so friends， try to foil his attempts but with even those they thought were on their side， aren't， you're in for an explosive read！ I love Hailey's humanity， that she has this inherent sense of right， vampire or not。 And the fact that she has a thing for Connor is ， well， adorable。 And goodness did Theo spin my head around with Ginny！ I wasn't expecting that， not for one second！ What would that be you might ask， hmmm， once you read the book you'll get it！ I love how profound Mercy is， in this book she shows a more vulnerable side， superb！ And that ending， well， that just tickled my fancy， so much so， that the next book can't come fast enough！ A wonderfully fast paced book， awesome plot， fabulous storytelling， witches， Vampires， shifters and even a dragon to get you fully immersed。 Oh and guess who makes an appearance？ Joni， yes， La Sirene in all her glory！ 。。。more

I am quickly becoming a dedicated fan of Mr。 Monroe， oh who am I kidding I’ve been a fan since Voodoo and Vampires and that’s only because I hadn’t been blessed with his work before then， now I’m insatiable， one might even call it a bloodlust。This book carries us into the next challenge Hailey and her friends face from Corbin， and it gives us more information about the wolves， how they were created and some personal dynamics between characters。 I’ll be honest， I really like how mature Hailey is， I am quickly becoming a dedicated fan of Mr。 Monroe， oh who am I kidding I’ve been a fan since Voodoo and Vampires and that’s only because I hadn’t been blessed with his work before then， now I’m insatiable， one might even call it a bloodlust。This book carries us into the next challenge Hailey and her friends face from Corbin， and it gives us more information about the wolves， how they were created and some personal dynamics between characters。 I’ll be honest， I really like how mature Hailey is， despite looking only 16 （ which I think is the only aspect I’m not fond of， but I understand the value that her age brings to the nuances of the story， so I’m not complaining about it） and I love how she’s so advanced in her witchcraft。I can’t forget to mention that the details of the story， the practices and belief systems used are so incredibly accurate and based on the actual belief systems and practices associated with Voodoo， and witchcraft， though I can’t confirm the accuracy （or not） of vampirism， since I’m not close with any real vampires。😉。 We， as readers， are truly blessed that Mr。 Monroe decided to use his extensive knowledge of religions and grace us with these incredibly accurate and respectful stories that can enrich our reading with knowledge and open-minded perspectives。 Yet one more reason to appreciate these stories。5 ⭐️s= Perfect story， exciting， engrossing， well developed complex characters， solid plot with few to no holes， descriptive environments and place settings， great mystery elements， realistic dialogue， believable reactions and behaviors， loved this story so much I’d buy it。4 ⭐️s= Great story， highly entertaining and enjoyable， exciting storyline， well developed characters and settings， a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked。 Believable actions and reactions， realistic dialogue， a book I would consider buying。3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story， noticeable discrepancies， grammatical and or spelling errors， undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable。 Nothing majorly wrong with the story， just not interesting enough for me to continue。 Would not buy the book。2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story， but not interested enough to finish。 Unbelievable characters， poor writing， many mistakes， big holes or discrepancies， many spelling or grammatical errors， characters not believable， unlikeable or TSTL。1 ⭐️= Offensive， extremely poor writing， horrible characters， victimization， gaslighting， blatant abuse， unnecessary violence， child endangerment， or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters。 Would never buy this book， and do not recommend it to anyone。I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Another great book in this series that I couldn't put down！ After the events of the first book， Hailey is still not sure when Corbin will raise his ugly head again and make his moves to becoming the vampire king of the world！ Whenever that will be and whatever he has up his sleeve， she has got to be ready。 When Ginny violently turns up on her doorstep to inform her that Connor has gone missing， Hailey has to put aside all her feelings towards Ginny and become the bigger person， or vampire-blood Another great book in this series that I couldn't put down！ After the events of the first book， Hailey is still not sure when Corbin will raise his ugly head again and make his moves to becoming the vampire king of the world！ Whenever that will be and whatever he has up his sleeve， she has got to be ready。 When Ginny violently turns up on her doorstep to inform her that Connor has gone missing， Hailey has to put aside all her feelings towards Ginny and become the bigger person， or vampire-blood witch I should say， and do what she can to find him。 But the plans she sees being put into place by Corbin and others， soon means she needs more help than just a novice witch shifter！ Luckily for Hailey， Mercy， Mel， Sarah and Annabelle are on hand to help out where and however they can。 I loved Hailey in this one， even if she was a bit too trusting of others at times。 Her and Mercy work so well together and I really want to see them together in the final showdown whenever that will be。 （Not at least for 2 more books anyway！）。 Hailey's newly developed power was a blessing in disguise and much needed in times of trouble！ Ginny was a conniving， spoilt little brat in this one - I never liked her in the first book， but she did manage to redeem herself in the end， despite her back stabbing！ I really did feel for Connor in this one - he's quite immature and doesn't seem to know what he really wants。 He's stayed in a relationship with Ginny for the sake of his pack essentially， but when he meets Hailey， he realises he wants something more than what he has with Ginny。 However， he's too scared to break it off properly with her or maybe he doesn't want to let go completely in case it doesn't work with Hailey and Ginny can be his fall back plan！ But that ending made me feel for him and he finally did the mature thing here Hailey was concerned！ I love how all the different characters from various series make appearances or are included in the narrative in some way。 Makes all the different stories gel together so well and you can feel how they all influence each other in some way！ Theo is a great story teller and if you haven't started any of his series yet， this one is a great one to start with！ Thank you to Theo for my ARC copy of this book！ This review is my own， honest one though！ 。。。more
